Callendula is generally regarded to be safe. Callendula cream for infants, then, is probably a very good product to use for diaper rash. Choose a product from a reputable company - for instance, inquire at your nearest health store what they recommend or have gotten input on from their customers. It is important to understand what diaper rash is and what causes it because keeping an eye on the problem and preventing it is actually the best for any baby.
Contact dermatitis happens when the diaper material chafes against the skin causing irritation and inflammation. Trying out different kinds of diapers and paying attention to this would be the best for the baby. Seborrheic dermatitis happens when naturally occurring yeast on the skin takes advantage of a chafed area and causes an infection. Callendula cream can be helpful in this situation as it is touted to be anti-microbial as well as ant-inflammatory. Try to keep the baby clean and dry with gentle washings and some non-diaper time to relieve the skin, as well.
