Camomile Lozenges

Camomile lozenges may be a very helpful way to weather a cold or, in fact, the allergy season. Camomile's constituent called chamazulene has anti-inflammatory properties and so can sooth swollen mucous membranes in the nasal passages and throat. Camomile lozenges may even help to get the herbal chemicals into the stomach and relieve overspasmodic stomach muscles thus relieving an upset stomach.

It is possible even that camomile lozenges can help deter illnesses from becoming serious because of their anti-microbial properties. There is not specific information that camomile is anti-viral, per se, so keep in mind that camomile may not be a cure for the cold.
