Luckily, having a camomile plant in your garden may be just the thing your garden needs. Camomile plants repel many insects and are known to improve crop yields of the plants around them. They are good to have in the garden with any other plant in general with a special note that camomile plants can help with the growth of onions.

"Companion planting" is the name for cultivating plants with each other. Some plants can offer shade to others that need it, others have root systems that create a beneficial climate in the soil that helps the roots of plants all around, still others attract or repel insects that aid or harm the neighboring plants, respectively.
