Making camomile tea is especially enjoyable if made from the whole flowers or petals. There is a wonderful aroma that comes from boiling the plant parts that fills the air. Take 1 teaspoon of fresh or dried camomile per cup of water, boil for 10 to 15 minutes, and strain the flowers. The flowers can still be used as a compress for any skin problems at this time, as well. Just wrap a lose gauze around the flowers on your skin and leave for up to 2 hours.
Camomile tea has a verbal history of helping sooth migraine headaches, as well. This recipe is a little more intense, with 2 tablespoons of the flowers being simmered in a pint of water for 40 minutes. Taking this 1-2 times per day seemed to relieve the migraine problems after a couple weeks.
