Gingger is a very effective nausea suppressant (antiemetic), antiseptic, carminative, circulatory stimulant and anti-inflammatory agent. This anti-inflammatory property is helpful to sooth irritated membranes, thus the reason why making ginger tea during colds or sore throats is so helpful. Add some lemon which acts as an antibiotic and antiseptic and some honey which may aid the immune system, and that is one powerful infusion of herbal supplements.

Gingger can be found in every single airport for good reason. Some people can use gingger candy, tea, or chew on the raw root for more aid in reducing motion sickness than even conventional medicine according to scientific studies.
