Ginsing and teen health

Interestingly, marketing is starting to purport ginsing and teen health. After researching this, it is possible that some of the characteristics that are attributed to ginsing use may be appealing to use with teens, though I do not see any specific, unique type of benefit in making sure a healthy teenager receives this herb. The calming effects that are purported to help ADD teens are really counter to what I have read, which is that the calming effects of the chemicals in ginsing (which act similarly to stress hormones) are mostly seen when used with elderly people. Usually with younger people, ginsing benefits include stimulating effects, both physically and mentally. Of course, if ginsing does have adaptogenic qualities, as many sources like to point out, then perhaps in some individuals, it can help with whatever is unbalanced in the body, including teenage mental clarity and focus.
