In order to grow ginsing and to reap a profit, one must have patience for the growth process as well as research the different types of the plant and their potential marketable value. There are actually many online sites explaining how to cultivate ginseng. The time investimant really depends on the type of growing circumstances that are chosen. Field ginsing is grown for 3 to 4 years under artificial shade and bedding conditions. Forest ginsing is grown in cultivated soil under a forest canopy for 6 years. And wild simulated ginsing is harvested only after 9 to 10 years after growing in all natural conditions in a canopied forest. Wild ginsing is absolutely protected and collection is prohibited.
