No doubt astragulus would be helpful to ward off colds and thus any throat infections or congestion that cause a poor quality singing voice. Astragulus is known as an excellent immune support herb and I personally use it when I know I'll be in an unhealthy physical or mental atmosphere. I seriously believe it helps my body not succomb to the viruses and bacteria around me. Remember - there are some anti-inflammatory herbs that you can use if you have some throat problems that effect your singing. 2 drops each of eucalyptus and peppermint in a bowl of steaming water for 10 minutes will help relieve an inflammed respiratory system, not to mention break up congestion and help you recovery quicker. Chamomile tea is excellent as well and will help calm you down so you can recuperate from any colds that may afflict you.
