Lilly of the Valley

Lilly of the Valley was recorded for its medicinal use as early as the 2nd century A.D. Some of its chemical constituents are cardiac glycosides which have properties of strengthening the heart and moderating its contractions if they are not normal. The Lilly of the Valley can slow down the heart beats and help the heart pump efficiently, so that blood flow back to the heart is improved.
Lilly of the Valley is also a diuretic which will help give blood a low volume and flow easier through the circulatory system. Low doses of the leaves and flowers are used for weakened hearts, usually with a professional's supervision as this herb is restricted in many countries.
