Fenegreek Tea

Think of herbal remedies as food, really. In fact, that's how we use many of them - we benefit from their composition by eating them, which is what we do with regular old food. So, then, keep in mind that herbs have a limited shelf life. I've heard 6 weeks to 6 months for dried bulk herbs. As heartbreaking as that sounds after you buy a pound of something and then don't use it right away, the chemical constituents of these herbs can change over time and become less effective or not effective in the same way.

Fenegreek tea is used to help during convalescence and help with weight gain; it also helps sooth gastric problems; it possibly lowers cholesterol and regulates blood sugar levels. I have not read that Fenegreek tea is indicated for drying up chest mucous. There are several herbs that are listed as expectorants that help with chest congestion such as Fennel, Thyme, Peppermint, Anise and Cardamom.
