Paying attention to some foods can help with alergy relief in a natural way. For instance, slices of cucumber may have a similar effect on your eyes as an herbal compress. Just place the veggie wheels on your eyes for 15 minutes to sooth irritated membranes. Also, dairy products produce mucous so reduce your intake during alergy season or at any time you have excess mucous.

An everyday vitamin like C can be an important natural anti-histamine. Increase your intake to up to 2000 mg a day - stop if diarrhoea occurs. And don't underestimate the effect relaxation exercises can have on your alergies. Stress can be a major underlying cause for how your body reacts to allergens, especially skin alergies like eczema.
