Alo vera shampoo, or at least containing alo, is everywhere. So how can it help hair? Its an amazing healing plant, with the gel and juices from the leaves mending wounds, soothing burns and repelling viruses, but how can it be helpful for hair which is, well, dead? After searching through several sources, I say nothing - seriously, I've found nothing.

I've seen several remedies for oily hair, that include sage and lemongrass; dry hair that needs calendula and comfrey; any hair that improves with lavendar, rose and chamomile. Perhaps alo vera can help the growth of hair or the structure of one's hair as it grows out if alo is taken internally. There is plenty of evidence that indicates alo vera's amazing properties for several of the body's systems, so maybe this is why it seems to help hair.
