Eye alergies during the spring can create uncomfortable itching and watering, leading to inflammed eyes. A soothing natural remedy using compresses can really help these symptoms. The two most helpful herbs for this are Chamomile and Eye Bright. In fact, once you make an infusion with one or both of these herbs and you've soaked some cotton pads in them, you can finish off the tea and let it work internally, too.

Let the soaked cotton pads rest on your eyes for 15 minutes. I have had such great success with this, especially after unexpected irritation when I clean a dusty attic or start a lot of outside springtime activities like mowing the lawn. These herbs will help reduce inflammation and mucous.
