Alergies Natural Remedy

An alergy is caused by the immune system reacting to an environmental irritant. A natural remedy for alergies works mainly to relieve the overreaction by your immune system. It can help reduce symptoms and limit the effect an allergen has on your body.

Alergies to plant pollen and dust is commonly called hay fever or more formally called alergic rhinitis. These have all the most common symptoms of runny nose, watery eyes, sneazing and congestion. Nettle and elderflower can be taken as an infusion and are excellent anti-inflammatories and tone down mucous in the respiratory system. For watery mucous, infuse together eyebright, plantain, goldenrod, and boneset. Thick greenish mucous calls for a tincture made with echinacea, marshmallow, elderflower and thyme. Natural remedies may not help more serious circumstances that may need a professional doctor's advice.
