Aniseseed tea is useful to ease digestion and relieve flatulance. Remember, as a fruit or berry, one must create a decoction with the herb which takes a bit longer than an infusion which used the leaves or stems of a plant. The longer preparation time ensures that the aniseseed will be broken down in order to release the active constituents into the water that are needed to be a successful remedy. But the leaves are also used from this herb to make an infusion and I have not run into the difference between using one part versus the other - though the dried fruit is used more for culinary purposes.

A standard quantity chart for making decoctions suggests using 20g of dried herb, or twice that much for fresh, to 3 cups of water. Simmer until the water is reduced to 2 cups. Take this as 3 or 4 doses per day - meaning 2 cups in one day.
