Herbs for Herpies

Herbal remedies may be helpful for treating herpies. It seems like a healthier and safer approach than prescription medication which really hasn't been around long enough for data to show the true effects of long term use on the human body, especially the kidneys and liver. So, if there are some herbal treatments that can ease your discomfort, it may help your overall health, as well.

German Chamomile tea is a favorite of mine, both because it can help relax tension in your brain, as well as relieve inflammation in your body. Both of these actions can aid in relieving the causes behind the herpies virus activating itself in your body. Baths with Witch Hazel and Lavendar can help heal sores and reduce the duration of the outbreak, while again helping you to relax and calm your nerves to counter the continuation of the viral replication. St. John's Wort or Passion Flower capsules may then help you to stay in a better frame of mind so you can deal with the things life has thrown at you without upsetting your system.
