Cinnimon is purported to help in lowering blood pressure. Perhaps this is so because of its calming properties. It is noted to be a sedative, as well as an analgesic. Perhaps this is why people have also experienced their blood pressure lowering since, well, they calm down.
As far as dangers of cinnimon, I'm hard pressed to find information that shows whether or not cinnimon can dangerously lower blood pressure. Any toxic substances from cinnimon can be avoided by making an infusion (tea) with the bark or powder and then straining the liquid from the solid parts. Drink the tea, toss the solids. This seems to include the necessary components of cinnimon that are helpful in blood pressure reduction as well as blood sugar reduction.
But keep the feelers out there and post anything on the dangers of cinnimon.
