Slipery Elm Tea

Slipery elm tea can also be given effectively to pets. I use this all the time with my cats who have constipation, diarrhea, urinary problems or just general discomfort that I can't pinpoint. I'll put 2 cc of tea in their meals in the morning and night. Or, most times, I'll make a gel of slipery elm by simmering one teaspoon of the powder with 1 cup of water in a frying pan until there is a slippery mucous. I store this for up to three days and put one teaspoon in my cat's food as mentioned. After using this for a few days, I will see a difference in how they feel. I can't believe that this herb works in so many circumstances, but it does. And there have been no known side effects to using it with the cats. As some of them get up there in age, I worry about keeping them comfortable and I am confident that slipery elm is useful for doing this.
