Licorish is actually an excellent herbal remedy. For one thing, licorish is an excellent cavity fighter because it has natural bacteria fighters. This is why licorish is so popular in candies in Europe as it is known to help teeth after meals as well as aid in digestion. Secondly, as an anti-inflammatory, licorish is able to help bodily inflammation from canker sores to arthritis. It can also be used because of this property for soothing inflamed eyes and skin problems. Licorish is also important for working as an adrenal agent. It stimulates the adrenal glands such that they work more effectively and efficiently. This is done by a constituent called glycyrrhizin, which is also why licorish is 50 times sweeter than sugar, acts as an anti-inflammatory and can treat chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis.
