Gingko is an important herb for the circulatory system. It helps increase blood flow throughout the body and thus increase all of the important blood constituents to the various systems. Gingko can also help relieve stress and anxiety while improving your mood and sense of well-being. Gingko is even an antioxident. Antioxidents are important because they can counter the effects of oxidation on cells in the body. It is this process that's leads to cancerous cells; but gingko, through its many helpful qualities, can help the body battle cancer.
Be careful not to overdose with gingko, as literature mentions cautions about toxicity if proper dosage is not followed. Tinctures of the leaves or seeds are recommended, taking 1 teaspoon, 2 to 3 times per day. Pills are also available; follow the manufacturer's directions.
