Ginsang is a celebrated herb throughout the world, thus leading to its popularity for cultivators. However, it takes patience in order to reap the benefits of growing ginsang. Methods for how to grow ginsang are available on many sites on the web. The roots are harvested from six to nine years after planting and this is where the patience comes in. Ginsang grows in the wild, but it is such an important commercial product that there are laws protecting wild ginsang from harvesting. It is often easiest to grow ginsang from small plants that are 1 to 3 years old from a supplier.
American ginsang is oftentimes the most expensive, while Siberian and Chinese ginsang fetch lower prices. But there are 22 different kinds of plants that go as ginsang and are purported to have the appropriate properties to market it as such.
