Many of the studies recently about cinnimon have used different doses to see what is affective. Higher doses of cinnimon are not seen as being more beneficial and, in fact, lower doses have shown to create the desired effects over a longer period of time. 1 gram of cinnimon per day is seen to be effective for lowering blood glucose levels as well as decreases blood lipid levels. The preparation of cinnimon in the studies was different, some using an extract of the bark while others using powdered cinnimon including all of the bark constituents.
There are various preparations available online, including cinnimon pills. Be sure not to go above the recommended dosage unless instructed by your physician. There are also powdered cinnimon and extracts available.
