Roibos

Have you tried the new tea on the block? Roibos? I highly recommend this sultry tasting tea, especially with vanilla, but I'd also like to see a blend with cardamom. Tazo, an excellent tea company, has a selection of roibos teas. Roibos is an Afrikaans' word meaning red bush, and is commonly referred to as red tea. Roibos has been around for a long time and was mostly cultivated in only one region of South Africa. It has gained popularity in western cultures mainly because of its high levels of antioxidents and because these come without paying the price of side effects from caffeine.
The Khoisan people of South Africa used it as an herbal remedy. The antioxident properties alone seem well worth using this tasteful product as they can help fight chemicals in the body that alter cells and create cancer as well as oxidize blood vessels which leads to heart attacks and stroke.
