The mulberry herbal suppliment is not commonly seen. In modern times, mulberry is used mostly as an adjuvant to other products, such as a base for fruit drinks or as an indredient for breads. There are over 50 species and several of them have been historically used in different cultures for various, yet unexceptional, medicinal value. In Britain, mulberry could be used as a gargle to relieve sore throat and as an expectorant. It was also seen as a mild laxative, which is the case with several cultures. One species of mulberry was used as a remedy for tape worm, but interestingly as a food for silkworms in Japan where it was then used as an ingredient for making paper. Mulberry seems to have a varied past, but not ingredible for human healing.
