Benefits of don quai go far beyond helping relieve a woman's menstrual cramps. In fact, it is a useful herb even for men. Since it has properties that aid in contraction and relaxation of tissues, don quai benefits the body by relieving arthritis or muscle pain. Don quai's healing properties may also help improve these ailments instead of just masking the symptoms.

Traditional Chinese herbalists even use don quai to treat allergies and high blood pressure. The latter may partially be aided because studies have shown that don quai can lower the amount of build up on artery walls to combat artherosclerosis.
