Of course, the most popular tumeric recipes will be those that involve curry powder since tumeric makes up the greatest percentage of this spicy concoction. Tumeric is used to make Garam masala especially, in rice and grains, to flavor fish by wrapping the leaves around the fish to steam, broil or grill for flavor, in pickling and for simply coloring dishes and drinks with a dull, deep yellow.
Mostly, tumeric is seen as safe and nonharmful. It is certainly seen as a safe, edible herb. But it is not indicated to use medicinally for people with ulcers, gallstones, or bile duct obstruction.
