Don Quai

Don quai - the woman's herb, perhaps. This is another important herb in the recent history of herb mania in the western world. The effects of this herb on women's health have been known, however, since ancient Chinese history.

During menstruation, women can take don quai to help relieve cramps. It controls the uterus' contractions which is thought to be the reason for helping with pain. This is also the reason it is suggested for use when a woman comes off birth control because don quai can aid the uterus in reestablishing a normal state.
