The benefit of tumeric for the human body is not just a one item list. There are amazing benefits to using tumeric in the diet, as well as more potent dosages through supplementation. Anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-biotic, anti-spasmodic. After reading many sources on this herb, I am surprised that it is not touted as being more of an all-healing herb than it is. Ginseng and others are listed as adaptogenic herbs and have been used extensively throughout time and place. The literature is excited about these herbs. But tumeric seems to only get short paragraphs and small reference. Perhaps this will change with more study over time. In the meantime, I recommend that you add tumeric to your research as you look into self-healing. It is a safe herb, a medicinal arsenal, and an excellent food enhancer.
