Pasion Flower

Pasion flower is another herb that I use to help me deal with stressful times in my life. Its kind of my "middle-of-the-road" help as compared to valerian, my more powerful, secret weapon. When I'm just dealing with every day stress - a busy schedule, a meeting I'm not looking forward to, a week that seems to be a bit much to take, passion flower lends me the slight calm that I need to make it through.

I'd love to have pasion flower in my garden - its aptly named with it's beautiful pink and purple petals. I do not have a place to put a woody vine, which is what pasion flower is, but I can imagine a trelise that would be accented well by it. Both the vine and the flowers are actually incorporated when using a tea to sooth nervous tension, sleeplessness, or hyperactivity.
