Ginko Bilboa Side Effects

Ginko bilboa is generally seen as a safe herbal remedy. However, due to its blood thinning properties, certain drugs may not work well while taking this herb and it should not be used. There are some natural blood thinners, too - garlic and vitamin E that may be too much for the body in combination with ginko bilboa. There could be some extreme problems when combining herbs and prescription medication so always consult your pharmacist.

Otherwise, using normally advised doses of ginko bilboa should not lead to serious side effects. There are rare cases of allergic reactions and gastrointestinal upset. The live tree may also create allergens.
