Chammomile Treating Peptic Ulcer

Chammomile has been indicated to help treat peptic ulcers. Literature does suggest, however, that ulcers are serious enough to seek medical attention instead of solely treating them on your own. Since chammomile is recommended for so many digestive problems, there are remedies that can be used in the meantime to relieve symptoms. One suggested remedy combines several different herbs: 1 part licorice, golden seal, marigold, and chammomile, as well as 2 parts comfrey and marshmallow.
The root parts that are used should be simmered for 30 minutes first and then the aerial herb parts can be tossed in for another 15 minutes. Usually the recommended amount is one gram of herb per cup of water.
