Echanacia

Echanacia is similar to burdock as its revered as an excellent blood cleanser, or detoxifying herb. It was a historically significant herb on the western plains, both with American Indians and cowboys. Echanacia, or Purple Cone Flower, was used to heal skin problems such as boils and abscesses. It is also good for inflamed tissues of the mouth since it has anti-inflammatory constituents - so it can treat sore throats, swollen gums, and be a remedy for mucous in the sinus system. It can also heal external wounds and relieve itching by its detoxifying and antibiotic qualities.
Echanacia is an excellent stimulant for the immune system as it helps increase production of white blood cells in the body that fight infection. Echanacia also contains a polysaccharide that can be anti-viral.
