A bromelin supplement may be very useful when dealing with digestive problems, especially if you have problems digesting proteins and you may even have allergic reactions pertaining to certain foods. Bromelin is considered non-toxic and there are not normally any reported side effects or problems with taking it though there may be isolated cases of allergic reactions or minor gastrointestinal upset. It can also be a useful supplement if you are trying to heal from surgeries due to tissue injuries.
Keep in mind that bromelin can be a blood thinner, as it inhibits the clumping of platelets and thus should not be used if you are on blood thinning medication. This can otherwise be a useful benefit to bromelin because it can prevent the build up of plaque in the arteries and thus prevent heart disease.
