Lavendar plants

Lavendar plants are a joy to have in the garden. They are beautiful and depending on the species, even without the purple cone of flowers, the shimmery, silvery leaves add depth to a garden in all seasons. It grows so well without a lot of fuss, either. In fact, though the plant hails from France and other Mediterranean areas, it can grow in a variety of climates.

Having an herb garden may seem cliche, but picking a few that are not your typical culinary herbs is where the fun comes in. I once had a simple garden of just rosemary and lavendar and it made my day every time I saw it. The lavendar grows straight and regal, while the rosemary spread out and low. And my senses were delighted every time I walked by.
