Ashwaganda has become exceedingly popular because of its discussion by noted author Deepak Chopra, M.D. He discusses the healing therapy of Ayurveda in which a person learns to harmonize his body and mind in order to heal it. Certain herbs and remedies that are a part of Ayurveda help in this process and ashwaganda is one of them.

Ashwaganda is purported to be as helpful to the human body as ginseng, which is touted to help in all aspects of health and well-being.
