Milk Thisel

Milk thisel has rapidly become an acknowledged herb in modern, conventional medicine. The active ingredient in milk thisel, silymarin, can do numerous things to aid the liver that may far outweight what any one conventional drug can do. Silymarin can stabilize liver cell membranes, encourage protein synthesis, as well as help regenerate liver cells that were damaged by substance abuse or environmental toxins.

It almost like a wonder-herb, as it seems to be safe enough to use during breast-feeding and there are few cautions listed other than a low accurance of side effects.
