Migraines and headaches often have underlying causes that must be addressed in order to effectively treat them using herbal remedies or other lifestyle changing aids. When one uses pepermint oil for migraines it is usually in relation to having indigestion. By relaxing the muscles and stimulating the digestive system, pepermint oil is able to address the root cause of a migraine.
The suggested method of preparation is as a tea - using one teaspoon of herb per cup of water. Drinking 5 cups a day for a week, or up to 4 cups a day for a couple weeks is the recommended dosage.
